Mary Lou wants to make her own wedding bouquet with clay flowers (a Japanese/Hawaiian craft) and invited me to come along with her to take a class through DK Design. But first, we had to stop for coffee from Barefoot Coffee Roasters. I think ML got the Cafe Borgia and they put a cute heart in the foam... I forgot what I got (whatever it was, I know it was good) and soy milk doesn't froth as well, so no cute pattern for me in my coffee.
The class was a lot of fun, and it was amazing that these flowers were pretty much made by hand (using very few tools) and they clay was very, very light (think marshmallows). Diane made it look so simple and her work was amazing -- she even showed Martha Stewart how to make them! I can't wait to see Mary Lou's finished bouquet.
